Working-group member guide
This guide explains the common participation pattern for SPDTF working groups. It covers access, discussions, source material, meetings and model review without exposing private workspace links or treating participation as standards authority.
Getting started
Understand registration, membership, invitations, accounts, roles and support.
Open page DiscussTeams and discussions
Choose the right channel, keep one issue in one thread and use page comments appropriately.
Open page ContributeSource material and SharePoint
Use the private organisation intake area and supply evidence with provenance and restrictions.
Open page ParticipateMeetings and records
Prepare, contribute, support asynchronous follow-up and handle transcripts safely.
Open page ReviewModel review and decisions
Challenge candidates in business language and understand who may decide what.
Open pageWhat is current, and what is proposed
The guide combines several decisions, but it does not give every source the same maturity. Use the status in this table when a detailed page refers to a process.
| Area | Status | What members can rely on |
|---|---|---|
| Working-group topology | Accepted · ADR-0063 | Eight modelling groups with bounded responsibilities. |
| Public recruitment | Accepted · ADR-0069 | An expression of interest is reviewed before access is granted. |
| Teams and SharePoint pattern | Accepted · ADR-0070 | A private Team for discussion and a separate, organisation-isolated evidence intake. |
| Email support and intake fallback | Accepted · ADR-0072 | Bounded access support and screened attachments for authorised participants. |
| Evidence-to-model method | Proposed · ADR-0065 | Useful working method, but not a ratified lifecycle. ADR-0065 remains proposed. |
| Consensus and ratification | Proposed · ADR-0068 | Do not treat its stages or time windows as operative. ADR-0068 remains proposed. |
Workspace status is not group authority
The Finance and Banking modelling workspace is implemented. The separate, cross-cutting Technology Working Group workspace is also implemented. The other seven modelling workspaces are planned. Technology Working Group is not a ninth modelling context and is not the Property Technology working group.
Implemented workspace infrastructure does not mean a group is convened, has agreed a model, or can ratify a standard. Each workspace page states its own roster, candidate and decision status; where these are not recorded, they remain unconfirmed.
Where to go next
Browse the eight group workspaces for scope, evidence, questions and review records. If you are not yet a member, the public working-group sign-up form records an expression of interest; it does not confer membership, Microsoft access or decision rights.
