Brand and approved messages

Use the official identity and keep the invitation clear, accurate and accessible.

Recognisable, accurate and easy to share

Use the OPDA identity as supplied.

Use the official wordmark on a suitable background. Do not redraw it, change its colours or imply that sharing an invitation makes your organisation an OPDA partner. Add your own organisation’s identity separately when you are the sender.

    Keep the message clear

    • Use Open Property Data Association (OPDA) and Smart Property Data Trust Framework (SPDTF) in full before abbreviating them.
    • Describe a programme in development, with professional experience helping shape shared definitions.
    • Make clear that data-modelling expertise is not required.
    • Invite people to register interest, not to claim automatic membership or access.
    • Keep essential information in text. Include image descriptions and descriptive links when sharing.

    Answers you can use

Do I need technical or data-modelling knowledge?

You do not need data-modelling expertise. Your professional experience and judgement can help shape the work.

    What can participants contribute?

Contributors can explain the language and rules used in their work, bring authorised examples, review draft definitions and challenge assumptions.

Does registration commit someone to participate?

Registration expresses interest. OPDA will explain the next steps and confirm the arrangements before asking someone to commit.

Can an organisation share this with its members?

Yes. Choose the member-facing email or organisation LinkedIn version and add your own introduction. Use your existing communication channels and retain control of your mailing list.

Is the framework already an adopted standard?

The Smart Property Data Trust Framework is in development. These materials invite contributions to that work and do not announce adopted requirements.

What source material should someone bring?

Only material that they and their organisation are authorised to share. Examples and explanations can help without disclosing confidential records or personal information.
